About the event
On Sunday 5th June, both The Whitworth and Darley Dale Town Council are inviting all those in Darley Dale and surrounding areas to join us to celebrate the Queens Jubilee in Whitworth Park from 12pm-6pm.Â
This FREE event will consist of a Last Night Of The Proms Concert by the Wirksworth Community Orchestra, plus performances from Tinderbox Performing Arts and Wirksworth Community Choir as well as many other activities including Crazy Golf, Giant Board Games, Bouncy Castle, Croquet plus much more! You’ll also get to take a tour of a fire engine with Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Services!
Refreshments will be available throughout the park and from the Whitworth Terrace Café.Â

Rail
We encourage visitors to use the rail service where possible. Peak Rail will be operating four FREE trains from Rowsley to Darley Dale on Sunday 5th June–  10.30, 12.00, 13.30, 15.00. Return trains run from Darley Dale to Rowsley at 17.30 and 18.30. Don't forget to reserve your train ticket via the Whitworth 'What's On?' page.Â
Bus
Buses run from Matlock through to Bakewell along the A6 every hour. Please check your local bus timetables for more details.Â
Car
The Whitworth carpark is for event performers and staff only. Parking for cars will be provided by Darley Dale Town Council in the following location:
- Mill carpark at DFS, DE4 2ET (Please look for DDTC stewards and follow the signage)Â
Please note local carparks will fill up quickly so we advise all visitors to find alternative routes to the venue where possible.Â
