At The Whitworth, we’re proud to be home to all sorts of movement, community, and wellness — and that includes two brilliant weekly classes run by local fitness instructor Anna. Whether you’re looking to ease into gentle movement or enjoy a dance-inspired workout in good company, Anna’s sessions offer something for everyone.
Meet Anna
Anna is a local mum of three who began her fitness instructor journey five years ago. She's a fully qualified Level 2 Group Exercise Instructor, licensed to teach a range of dance fitness classes — and passionate about creating sessions that are welcoming, enjoyable, and inclusive.
She is also currently working towards her Level 3 Award in Designing Exercise Programmes for Older Adults, further strengthening her commitment to making fitness accessible and supportive for all ages.
Her passion? Helping people stay active, have fun, and connect with others — right here in their local community.

Mondays at 11am: Dancing for Health (Chair-Based Class)
This gentle, seated dance fitness class is ideal for anyone who loves music and movement but prefers or requires a lower-impact, chair-based format. It’s a small, friendly group, and the vibe is welcoming and relaxed.

Wednesdays at 9:30am: Zumba Gold
Zumba Gold is a lower-impact version of Zumba — no fast turns or jumps, just uplifting movement, feel-good music, and a fantastic way to stay active. It’s perfect for people who want to keep moving, improve balance, and build strength in a safe and fun way.
